REFLECTIVE SUMMARY

These days, businesses are realizing increasingly that blogging isn't just a fair way to share thoughts, conclusions and concepts, it’s a way to create a community, develop a faithful fan base and construct a brand.

Not just any brand, but a brand that individuals can sincerely interface with, a brand where individuals who know you go to your site day in and day out to discover data on the things that matter to them, a brand where individuals go, to be engaged, share thoughts and develop with the business, a brand that reveals to them how to realize the things they need and gives them the data and devices they ought to get there (or in these case, satisfy their needs and keep them for second helpings).

And the way this is being done is through creating a blog. In fact, in some ways you can say blogging is the new marketing.

With all of the advances in technology, overwhelming choices in products and services, and burdening distractions people face every day, it is becoming harder and harder for companies to keep their customers, clients and fans attention, and to keep them from leaving and finding a new place to go.

Marketing is about building awareness to a targeted group of individuals who are inquisitive about what you have got to say, enlighten or offer and will bring other individuals who share your view into your audience base.

You market since you need to attract those people who are inquisitive about your goods and services and because you need them to pay considerable attention and take action.

Blogging has the ability to make really powerful connections. I was able to connect and contribute information and insight with my peers and it was fun and a mix of a learning experience. I see it as an effective way to exchange ideas and connect with people and can serve as a boost for my career moving ahead. Those who are in your circle can give you incredible input on making improvements to your goods and services and will share your content which is basically free marketing to you.

Beyond connections, I was able to make friends throughout these six weeks. I leveraged on my social skills through comments in the comment section to connect with people who were smart and actively engaging on the discussion forums. I made five new friends that I genuinely connected throughout the course of the program. I was able to get in touch with them and had really amazing and fruitful discussions that helped shape the structure of the entire project work.

It’s important to find a targeted audience because they are one of the most important elements to the success of your business. Those who are not in your target audience may listen and pay attention here and there but they won’t promote you like your dedicated audience.

Finally, I believe blogging is a tool for both learning and connecting with people who are most times several distances away from you. In the future, learning and discussion through blog forums can be used as a tool to monitor, analyze and improve learning experiences for students, researchers, business brands, diverse communities and those who engage in blogging activities.
